An international and successful system

TakeCare is a truly international IT-system. In 2008, the Swedish Region of Stockholm decided to implement TakeCare throughout the entire county. The system is already fully operational and the last implementation will be finalized in 2012. Furthermore, the Swedish county of Dalarna has also chosen to implement TakeCare on a county-wide scale, and it is expected that the system will be fully implemented in 2013. Finally, TakeCare is operational in university hospitals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and further implementations in Malaysia and Borneo are in the pipeline.

The largest TakeCare installation is at the university hospital of Karolinska in Stockholm, Sweden. Every day, the system is used by 30.000 users and handles a database of more than 2 million electronic medical records. TakeCare is use in connection with both inpatient and outpatient care of both small and large healthcare institutions.
